How to prepare a technical foam inquiry - a checklist
TechnicalApril 7, 2026
A good inquiry shortens the path to a quote from several rounds of questions to one. What we need to immediately propose a grade, price and lead time.

The most common reason for slow quotes is not slow sales - it is an inquiry that doesn't show what is actually needed. This checklist covers everything we need.
Essential - no quote without it
- Purpose: what the end product is and how it is used (seat, mattress, acoustic lining…).
- Dimensions: length × width × height in mm, per piece.
- Quantity: number of pieces, and whether it is a one-off order or recurring (weekly, monthly…).
Material - one of two routes
- If you have a specification: foam type, density (kg/m³), hardness (kPa or N, with method), colour.
- If you don't: describe the feel and function ("soft like an armchair backrest", "must survive a 40 kg machine in transit") - selecting the grade is then our job.
Additional - when it matters
- Tolerances only for functionally critical dimensions (why).
- Flammability standards if the product ships to markets that require them.
- A drawing for contour parts: PDF, DWG or DXF.
- Delivery deadline and delivery location.
- Whether you need a sample before ordering.
What you get back
To a complete inquiry we respond with a specific grade from the range (or a custom formulation for larger series), a per-piece price and a lead time. If something is missing - we ask first, then quote.
The inquiry form walks through all the steps above and accepts attachments up to 10 MB.
Have a specific case?
Send dimensions, quantity and intended use - we propose a foam grade and send a quote or sample.
